JLS Foundation unveils billboard campaign
Billboard Campaign Celebrates Successful Hoosick Falls Natives Starting with Jessica Abramovich Kuron

Hoosick Falls, NY

On May 7, 2018 the JLS Foundation proudly unveiled our first billboards in the town of Hoosick. Our billboards celebrate the incredible success of people from Hoosick Falls. Although our community is small, the success of our current and former residents is impressive and cuts across nearly every industry you can imagine. Our hope is that students from the school district will be inspired by the Hoosick Falls residents that came before them.

Our first billboard celebrates the amazing success of Jessica Abramovich Kuron (HFCS Class of 2007). Jessica grew up at Hoosac Meadows on Rte. 22 in Hoosick Falls. After winning the JLS Foundation Scholarship, she earned her bachelor’s degree at Simmons College in three years and just a few years later was working on Capitol Hill as Director of Operations and Executive Assistant to U.S. Senator Tom Carper (Delaware).

Jessica has also served as a Staff Assistant to Congressman Jim Langevin (Rhode Island), and the Legislative Aide to State Representative Paul Brodeur in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Jessica received her Master’s in Government from Johns Hopkins University, where she was awarded Summa Cum Laude and Honors for her research and policy recommendations regarding unequal representation of gender in the United States Congress. Jessica and her husband, August, reside in Northern California and are expecting their first child in November.

Stay tuned for more billboards featuring current and former residents of Hoosick Falls. Every person featured on our billboards are part of our Hometown Network, which is a network of people from Hoosick Falls organized by profession and willing to help students network within industries of their interest.
